The number of students going to college immediately after high school has been consistently climbing. Regardless, , almost thirty percent of high school seniors did not enroll in a college or university. However, when you take into account solely individuals from high income families, around 84% go off to college. There exists a direct correlation regarding wealth and education. A number of online college degree coursessome distance learning programs make an effort to end the income hurdle by making it less expensive for students to attend college programs.

To encourage registration in higher education, a variety of schools make submitting applications to a traditional school a mandatory requirement for graduation. The District of Columbia where college enrollment is among the lowest in the US, is contemplating legislation that will create a legal requirement that all high school seniors to apply to a traditional college. Irregardless, school districts don't seem to be tackling the real issue which is certainly affordability. The majority of students are under the impression that they need to either choose to go to a traditional college or university and deal with a life of debt or overlook school completely and seek employment.

One other fallacy flowing about high school seniors is a belief that a degree is not essential for getting a job. Even though there are no guarantees, numerous studies have indicated that college graduates make considerably more money over their working career than those with solely a high school education. One deplorable figure is that practically a third of young adults will wind up in the penal system. When young adults are not in school and unable to find work, they at times end up in trouble with the law.

Sadly, a lot of people are not aware that they can earn a college degree online through a distance learning program. Online colleges give students the mobility to attend college whilst being employed. Students should be taught with reference to other choices that are out there for earning a college degree.
